The Local Tap Room in Bacchus Marsh was established in 2021 in a heritage listed building with a long 130-year history. The owners of this craft beer tap room were eager to create a warm, friendly, inviting and comforting space that would draw in the locals whilst reserving and integrating the history of the building. The team at Corso were able to deliver a perfect balance of old meets new. The venue has quickly become a favourite watering hole for the Bacchus Marsh townsfolk looking for artisan beer and spirits, delicious bar snacks and great hospitality.

The focal point of the venue is the large central bar, bathed in colours of silver and turquoise, which pairs beautifully with the icy cold beer taps along the bar. The design of the venue is based on a farm house style kitchen which is at the centre of family life, a place where everyone congregates. The bar represents the hearth of the venue, where people come to drink, be nourished, relax and socialise.

The Local Tap Room has a contemporary feel with its brown leather seats and couches and a mix of low tables and lounges. A hand painted supermarket sign discovered during the build was retained helping elevate the heritage look and maintain its rustic charm.
