A feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds awaits Drums Café at Preston market. Traditional décor including clay pots and vibrant colours set the scene for indulgent meals of butter chicken with saffron rice & Lamb Vindaloo.
The Sri Lankan style pop-up street vibe is a part of the latest addition to the Preston Market extension and it was vital that the café popped amongst the cluttered walkway. With cooking set onto the mall draped with shaggy straw roofing pass-byers stop to enjoy the theatre.
Being a 30m2 site, maximum space planning efficiency was key, a small preparation kitchen occupied most of the site with a service counter to the front. Recycled timber & splashes of colour were adopted to create an authentic feel.
