Back In Motion Preston was an existing real estate office split over two levels in the bustling High Street precinct. The brief was to completely strip out the existing fit-out and to rebuild a physio to include 5 treatment rooms, a large gym floor, reception, Pilates training space and staff room and amenities.

The Pilates space is located upstairs to maximise the light from the street windows and skylight above. The site required co-ordination between builders and surveying consultants given the condition of the existing structure and proposed use. We utilised the existing first floor deck and staff room in order to create a space where internal meetings can occur.

The existing steel stair was upgraded and became the separating structure that divided the gym floor from reception. With limited light throughout the ground floor, we borrowed light from a small existing courtyard and installed skylights into the treatment rooms.

Corso Interior Architecture was engaged for town planning, interior design and architectural drawings to accompany a tender process.
